I think I was born at the wrong time

Luke forging a knife

Frances and Cody

Luke had a full day!

We just got back from a 10 day event. I took my grandson to a reenactment, we lived and dressed like they did in the 1700. He didn't want it to end and neither did I. We had a couple of real cold nights but were snug in our tent and stayed warm. We were not allowed to use gas lights only candles to see by, so by 7:30 every night we were in bed sleeping, but up by the first sign of light to start our day.
Luke learned how to forge and made a knife out of a nail. We went to a pow-wow and  a wedding in Tepee Town. Luke says he wants a wedding like that when he gets married.
There were so many tents, it seem to go on forever. The main road had all the merchant's on it and there were all kind of activities in the commons, the public didn't come in until the weekend, so the settlers were able to enjoy a full week of fun.
We are going out again in 2 weeks, this time I'm taking my granddaughter too.  This one is a lot smaller and we will not be setting up to sell anything. We are going to wash wool and spin and learn how to make lye soap. The kid will learn to play game that they did back then.
I am so blessed to be able to take my grandchildren on such learning experiences.
Thank You Lord for making this possobile.
