What a Month

Where do I start it's been over a month! Frances and I had a lot of sewing to do to get ready for her fall run to the reenactments up north. But we did it and off to Fort Louden Tenn. we went. What a great time I can't wait to go again. I sat under a tree and was spinning most of the time everyone seemed to enjoy stopping to see how it is done. I even think a few were on there way to becoming spinners. I had a little girl who spent allot of time with me and I bet I know what she wants for Christmas. I got to try my hand at a drop spindle too, and I need allot of help in that area, not as easy as it looks. We no sooner got back and finished up on some sewing that needed to be done before Frances was off again and I was on my way to Ill. to my class reunion and to the 100 car pile up with my husband. The Class reunion was so much fun got to see allot of my old class mates and reconnect with some old friends. We all ended up town at the Old Town Tap where I got to see even more people, it was quite late when I arrived home, but what a great time. Then onto the Pile up and boy was it cold. On Friday night we went to see my nephews play at the pre-party. They were great! but cold it was outside. Berrrr. The next morning we got up and went to the car show not much warmer. We sat in line for 2hours waiting to get in the gate. The show was so big this year they couldn't get everyone in. So there were allot of people who had to go home after waiting so long. There were 1500 cars and thousdens of people. I don't think I'll go next year. Too cold and too many people. On Tuesday we headed home. Just a 32 hour bus ride. Not too many layovers so it wasn't as bad as going up and 6hours in Nashville in the middle of the night, on metal seats and a lot of people waiting for there next ride. Anyway I'm rested and back to sewing. We've got allot to get done before the next event. Frances is off to the next event and I'm home sewing on some orders that need to be filled before the December and January events. I took yesterday off to do some carding and spinning. I'm working with cashmere, what fun hope to have it ready to knit by the end of the week. I've all so been knitting socks or at least trying too. My first one was OK, but it sure didn't look right. Now I'm trying 2 at a time. Looking good so far.
